Buenos Aires, December 15 (NA) – The National Directorate of Roads (DNV) imposed a series of fines on Caminos del Río Uruguay S.A., the concessionaire of Corridor No. 18, for deficiencies in the maintenance of national routes 12, 14, and 117, as stated in four resolutions published today in the Official Gazette.
The most significant fine corresponds to Resolution 1975/2025, which establishes a penalty of 2,883,000 Penalty Units for 155 deficient or missing vertical signs detected on National Route 14, on the stretch between Ubajay and the Mocoretá River.
According to what was learned by the Argentine News Agency, the irregularities were confirmed through technical surveys that revealed a systematic failure to meet the road signage standards required in the concession contract.
Additionally, Resolution 1960/2025 imposes a fine of 148,000 Penalty Units for the existence of four open potholes on National Route 12, on the ascending collector lane between kilometers 84 and 84.2.
According to the considerations, the deficiencies had not been corrected by April 9, 2025, the end date of the concession. Resolution 1974/2025 sanctions with 41,412 Penalty Units the lack of maintenance of horizontal signage on 84 kilometers of National Route 14, while Resolution 1976/2025 imposes a fine of 138,280 Penalty Units for registering a Present Serviceability Index of 0.0 on National Route 117, between kilometers 4 and 11, when the contract requires higher values.
The sanctions are based on the breaches detected during the validity of the concession contract and were notified to the company for payment.
